I heard about the Magic Jack late one night on an infomercial. I don’t usually go for these as seen on tv products, but being a tech editor and a person who loves saving money, Magic Jack appealed to me and I ordered a free trial online. I placed the order the in the morning and soon forgot about it throughout my day. I was shocked the next day when I got it in my mail. With most as seen on tv products (ok so I’ve ordered one or two before..) you’re lucky if you get your order within 2 weeks.
I quickly opened the package and got to work setting the magicJack up on my desktop. Following the directions, I simply:
Total time to install? Oh maybe a whole 5 minutes..
I wish there was more to tell you about the installation process, but it really was that simple. They had a great list of phone numbers to choose from, and after picking one, my phone line was connected and I was able to immediately call my wife and exclaim to her my excitement over the magicJack.
So I’ve been a loyal user of the magicJack for about 5 months now. Never had any issues with the device, and no extra credit card charges like you’ll see with some companies. What’s the best part about this? I now pay $20/year instead of $30/month for my phone service. I’m literally saving $340/year! Couldn’t be happier. I’ve recommended it to all my friends and family as a way to save money on your bills, especially in this recession.
Months into using the Magic Jack and I can’t image what life would be without it. The Magic Jack is cheap, it is easy to use and install, and has great call quality. It is one device that truely deserves the 2009 Product of the Year Award, and 5 star ratings from me. Here are some review notes:
